Student Profiles

At Fit for Business I was tasked with creating a new way to communicate with first year students about the support and services provided by the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM). I created a dashboard through Tableau that showcased the educational journey of a few TRSM students who shared their concerns and worries and what support and services they used to overcome them to help other students facing similar issues. This dashboard as well as others relating to student engagement that I have created are accessible to all students through the Fit for Business website.

Newsletter Outreach Communication

During my time at Fit for Business I was responsible for running student outreach projects to raise the awareness of students about opportunities that are specially tailored to their situation. I conducted an outreach program that focused on first year students who were qualified for the co-op program, but were not subscribed to the schools co-op newsletter. A three stage communication plan was implemented to get these students to sign-up to the newsletter and to sign-up to the information sessions. I created two email communication and one call script and at the end of the outreach project 45% of the students signed up to the newsletter and 17 registered for the information sessions

Impact Report

An early project I worked on with one other team member during my time at Fit for Business was an annual impact report. I analyzed previous event data, communication channel data and student feedback to complete the report. The report was designed using Canva and is accessible to all students on the Fit for Business website. The entire report including navigation and videos can be viewed here.

Feedback Survey Creation and Analysis

I also conducted the student surveys at Fit for Business. I was responsible for reviewing the 2021-2022 end of year survey and creating and launching the 2022-2023 beginning of year survey. Through my analysis of the end of year survey, I was able to find opportunities to improve training for our student volunteers which was implemented for the 2022-2023 school year. I was also successful in launching the beginning of year survey by working with our communications team to launch and promote it on all of our channels during student orientation which lead to 1000+ respondents which is more than 10X the responses received on the previous survey. 

Web Scraping Event Calendar

A personal project I completed was a Tableau dashboard which is a calendar that displays the events from the Ted Rogers Students' Society student groups. To retrieve the event information automatically, I created a Google Sheet which scraped the Eventbrite pages of all the student groups and used the Eventbrite API to gain the event information. All the information is updated automatically to the dashboard on Tableau Public.
